How long does it take to build a custom home?

The timeline for building a custom home varies depending on the design complexity, site conditions, and approval processes. Generally, you can expect around 6-12 months for design and prelims and an additional 6-12 months for construction.

Can I make changes to my house design during the construction process?

yes, you can potentially make changes during the construction depending on the extent of the change. Smaller adjustments may be easier to implement, whilst larger changes could require time, costs and further council approvals. We offer a detailed design process pre construction to avoid design changes during the build.

Can I choose my building designer?

Yes! We work closely with a lot of local, Sunshine Coast building designers. We are happy to recommend some that we believe align with your desired style otherwise, we are happy to work with a building designer that you have chosen independently.

What if I already have my house plans?

Not a problem! Schedule a meeting and we can look at the plans, discuss timeframes and discuss the best way to move forward on the project.

How many plan revisions can I make?

as a general rule you can make two revisions to the sketch plans and two revisions to the concept plans. Additionally, you’ll have two final opportunities to revise your working drawings before plans are finalised for site.

How involved can I be in the building process?

We encourage clients to be as involved as they wish. You’ll have regular site meetings and updates, ensuring you’re informed and involved in key decisions throughout the build.

What is the cost of building a custom home?

The cost varies based on factors such as design, size, materials, and site conditions. We provide an all-inclusive quote upfront, and as part of our collaborative approach, we work with you and your designer to provide budget guidance.
