Most of our team are Sunshine Coast born and bred and have been raised in the building industry. It’s no surprise our backgrounds have helped developed a passion for helping others bring their dream homes to life.
Managing Director/Builder
Born on the Sunshine Coast, Joe grew up in the construction industry. Joe completed his carpentry apprenticeship at a young age before going on to supervise and run a small sub-contracting business.
It was through his sub-contracting business and dealing with surrounding trades and clients that Joe discovered his real passion was to create quality and sustainable affordable homes.
Joe is now the proud and dedicated owner of J Co Constructions. He is with you throughout the whole building process and will personally answer your phone calls. His approachable and hard-working attitude has seen him forge strong bonds with all of his clients. He has a passionate, dedicated team behind him all striving for the same outcome.
Accounts Manager
Anita has worked in the domestic residential construction industry for over 30 years, working within administration in all facets of accounting, design, colour selecting through to project management.
Living on the Sunshine Coast since 1980 when there were no high-rises in Mooloolaba and the Nicklin Way was merely a billy goat track, Anita is a proud and permanent resident of this region. She provides a wealth of experience for each and every client. Anita strives to go above and beyond to achieve each of her clients their desired outcome. She is forever approachable and always contactable.
It’s her passion for the industry and commitment to her clients that has drawn her to JCO Constructions and its philosophies. When Anita is not in the office you will find her cooking gourmet meals for her family or dabbling in hand-made pottery.
Operations Manager
Born and raised on the Sunshine Coast into a building family, Cody has been in the industry since birth. He started his carpentry apprenticeship at the young age of 15 and has since worked for multiple builders in the region and briefly Canada as a carpenter/leading hand carpenter.
Cody’s wealth and knowledge of the building industry is a great asset amongst the J Co team. His outgoing personality is both effective in communication with trades on site and forging strong relationships with clients. He prides himself in striving for perfection and ensuring clients receive quality builds to be proud of.
Customer Relations/ Sales
With over five years of experience in the construction industry and a Diploma of Interior Design, Nicole plays a key role in guiding clients through their building journey. From first contact to final colour selections, she’s there to offer support, advice and a friendly face along the way.
Nicole is passionate about creating homes that are both stylish and functional, with a strong focus on interiors that feel considered and timeless. She’s organised, approachable and a clear communicator—making the process feel smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.
Outside of work, Nicole enjoys beach days, staying active outdoors and spending time with her dogs.
Customer Relations/ Sales
Ava was born and raised surrounded by the building industry. Her father, a carpenter by trade and now a supervisor, instilled in her a passion for design and creativity from a young age.
Ava holds a Diploma in Interior Design and is passionate about implementing new design trends. Her role involves guiding clients through the entire building process, from the initial design stages to the final handover. With a background in Customer Service, Ava understands the importance of each build to her clients and ensures clear communication throughout the project.
Her creative flair shines in her colour selections, providing clients with guidance and reassurance to create cohesive and stylish designs both internally and externally. Ava’s wealth of building knowledge, commitment to her clients, and thorough documentation ensure that you are in good hands.
Accounts/ Admin
Nic is the friendly face behind our accounts and admin, keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. With years of experience in the construction industry, she brings a calm and capable presence to the team. Nic’s strong organisational skills and attention to detail ensure everything from invoicing to client communication is handled with care. A dedicated mum, she balances work and family life with grace. Outside the office, Nic enjoys spending time with her kids, soaking up the Sunshine Coast lifestyle, and making the most of life’s little moments.
Marketing
Stevie plays a pivotal role in our team, overseeing our Instagram, Facebook, and website. Her background in nursing led her to transition to the building industry in 2022 to support her husband, Joe. Passionate about digital marketing, graphic design, and all things aesthetic, Stevie brings creativity and style to our online presence. She shares Joe’s passion for the building industry and enjoys delving into house plans to ensure clients achieve optimal functionality. When Stevie isn’t in the office, she can be found cheering on her three soccer-enthused boys at the fields. In her downtime, she indulges in dance fitness, spends cherished moments with her family, and enjoys watching movies.
